I'm not sure yet but I might consider the lightning zweihänder. I'd also like to do something about my armor but I'm not sure what.
Also, Seath down. New Londo is up next I guess.

Lightning Zwei is kind of a double-edged sword (haHA)

On one hand, the total damage at +5 lightning is higher than the regular zwei at +15
but the lightning zwei doesn't scale, so if you're planning on doing serious strength, anything past 40, then it's a bad choice
also the enemies who are strong to lightning will fuck you up hard no matter what
and anything with high pure defense will significantly reduce your damage, way more than regular zwei

the idea seems to be if you don't plan on focusing on strength or dex, do elemental weapons for the help with damage because of the lack of scaling

but if you plan on actually building a character around those stats then the scaling weapons are far better

The thing is, I don't really know. STR is my highest stat at 30 at the moment.

Here's how I see it at this point

Having elemental weapons is good for specific situations, and sometimes nigh-required

but never have your main-go-to weapon be elemental

it's always better to output a lot of pure hard damage, than to output a little regular damage and a little elemental damage in the hopes that the little bit of elemental damage will be what your enemy is weak to.

My seamless plan of "run up to Nito and hit him with the Cursed GSoA and only stop to estus" as worked flawlessly.
I guess Ghost Londo is my next point of interest.

Started this up again with a Thief. Going with a Dex build that focuses on a +15 Great Scythe (so it can be buffed with resins), just enough Faith for Heal miracle, and some Pyromancies to back me up like Power Within and Great Combustion.

Ideal build is going to be:
