So any suggestions as to where to go after The Catacombs? Google gives vastly varying results. SL 36.

Tomb of Giants is your next step if you've gotten the Lordvessel. If you haven't, why are you down in the Catacombs anyway?

The Depths and The first shanty town in BT are still really unfun and hard.

On the bright side, I got Drakwrath Kirk to show up in the Deaths and he dropped this cool barbed sword that causes bleeding so I didn't even need to get the Iaito (but I got it anyway).

Why would you even go to the Catacombs at SL 36? Have you even done Anor Londo yet?

Nope, don't have the Lordvessel yet. I think I originally ended up here by following some walkthrough. Sen's Fortress seems like a popular suggestion.

Did that. Malum told me to go to Sen's Fort and that's what the wiki says too so that's where I'll go.

The Catacombs are like, stupid easy? Going in there before Sen's isn't a bad idea, especially right after Blighttown. It'll help you prepare.

But then you gotta a walk out of that shit hole and then you have to go back again when you get the Lordvessel. It's mad easy but there's no point to going early, unless you're really bad at dodging/blocking and need to be able to kindle two more times.

I never got the problem with Sen's Fortress that you'd need to prepare for it. Only time I might die is against the boss, the Titanite Demons, or if I'm being stupid on the walkways. I even made sure to explore it all which means I found the fun stuff like Mimics and asshole lightning mages.

Or if you want the great scythe, or a fire weapon, or TWoP, or Lucerne.
There's tons of reasons to go there early.

fuck that i go straight in from the get go so i can get the kindling.

plus its somewhat of a challenge when the skeles keep respawning while you try to kill the sorcs

I forgot about all the other stuff you found in the Catacombs for some reason. So I guess there are reasons but it still seems like a chore and I never got why it didn't have a major shortcut like everywhere else (unless it does and I've just never found/needed it.)

my favourite thing to do in dark souls now is kill Giantdaddies in one parry
ricards rapier +15 and the hornet ring and darkmoon blade tears shit up
