I've done the run three times on different characters. Didn't die once or even get touched.

Who knew Galaxy was such a big scrubby scrub pants.

The Ceaseless Discharge is really easy, kill him before grabbing the gold hemmed set. If you grab it he's permanently hostile, but if you just attack him he doesn't aggro on you if you die and come back.
I did it on my character with 10 vitality and 8 endurance with a shotel +10, since I couldn't use pyromancy against him.
Just bait his melee attack, it has a huge tell and he'll always use it if you attack him while you're close.

I went back to the Asylum before going into the depths so I could get the Rusted Iron Ring.
The Stray Demon kept one hitting me there, should I go back and try to defeat it? And can I get some tips on it? That explosion it does whenever it attacks is killer and I can't get far enough away from it to survive.

You might want to wait on the stray, he's pretty hard.
Really, all you need to do is to learn his tells, and attack-wiff-punishing is always a good strategy against bosses.

Use a weapon with a bleed effect, like the bandit's knife or the gold tracer. Stay close to the stray demon and then just run away when it does it's AOE attack.

I was thinking of picking up the Iaito and putting lightning on it, that and making my Black Knight sword divine so I could use it in the Neato fight and to kill the respawning skeletons.

You can't ascend the black knight sword, and I wouldn't recommend using a divine weapon in the Nito fight anyways. He's a huge pushover as long as you can do damage quickly.

Well I'll still need a divine weapon for the reanimating skeletons since I know that can be a real pain in the booty and a half.

Once you get to the wheel skeletons you don't need a divine weapon anymore
