Nah, I think they're talking about how it's silly that the game just doesn't call it a blacklight.

Blacklights reveal things that are photo-fluorescent, making them shine brighter than the things that aren't photo-fluorescent around them, and are often used (along with infrared) to try to detect ghosts and stuff (at the very least, even if ghosts don't exist, they're a part of the "canon" of ghost hunting stories).

So it seems odd that they'd purposefully avoid saying blacklight and make a rainbow blacklight called a "dark-light" to do the same real function.

Because darklight is an oxymoron, and blacklight gives the impression of an anti-light made to expose things light couldn't. Like a photonegative.
