@willow: The hands are really good, especially where you've solidified the negative space. But what's with those birds? Were they like polystyrene props or something? XD
The nudes sort of vary. I find the quick gestural sketches much stronger than the ones you've gone into detail on because those become disproportioned as some details get focused on and others not so much. Some of those feet are super tiny.
@runes:
Good, but I recommend focusing on things like light and texture. The water's surface for example. Other than the reflection of the boulder, there isn't anything else to tell me that I'm looking at water and not just a strange flat depression. I'd be looking for bright white high lights where the ripples reflect the sky and more reflections if the water is dark and still (which isolated bodies of water often are because the water doesn't move and get refreshed.)

Sweet. Looking forward to this.
Oh, would you mind doing a portrait of Ian McKellan when you get a chance? I'd like one for comparative purposes later.
Ok new week and it seems like you guys are either busy or uninterested?
Lets try going back to portraits and see if that helps.
SELF PORTRAITEither by mirror or good quality photo. Don't use tiny photos that hide the blemishes. You can skip drawing a pimple but you shouldn't try and make up what your face looks like from a blurry photo.
Again, any medium but don't let style get in the way of drawing accurately. Take as long as you like - If it's something you really want to go nuts on then I'm pop flyin' to make this a two week thing. Also you can do this as a bunch of studies instead of the one big finished piece. Eg. sketches of parts of your face in detail
If you're too shy or private to share with the forum feel free to note me your work (and reference if you'd like).
