Read about a poll that Aniplex made that's about what anime people would like to see on Toonami. Sailor Neptune Magica made the top. I think Gurren Lagann made third.

That's just... why?

Soul Eater premieres on Toonami the day after tomorrow. It sucks that they are most likely going to cut the openings and endings due to ads.

They cut the OP and ED a WHOLE LOT harder than I thought anybody could ever do. Seriously.

Hopefully they'll just skip the whole "THIS IS DEATH WEAPON MEISTER ACADEMY" thing next week and give more room for the two.

I mean, I understand that you have to advertise to keep Toonami alive, but really?

Soul Eater anime is meh. Sailor Neptune Magica would be something to watch though.

I just don't think that Sailor Neptune Magica would work all that well for Toonami. The best thing they can do right now is stick to baseline action anime with Soul Eater and the like until they get more cash. I would love to see Tiger & Bunny or Darker Than Black on there. Those would be better fits than Sailor Neptune, IMO.

It COULD work, but this new iteration of Toonami is still pretty early in its life compared to the original Toonami. I'd consider Sailor Neptune to be high-risk in that it might not get the ratings they'd want from such a high-profile (in the anime fandom at least) show. Think about it; people tuning into Adult Swim all other days of the week to watch shows like Family Guy and Loiter Squad being treated to promos for a show featuring magical girls vs. Promos for shows like Tiger & Bunny, with superheroes in powered armor, and Darker Than Black, a thriller series featuring a badass masked hero. Which do you think would attract more viewers?

Also, according to Toonami's Tumblr, it was actually the distributors who cut the OP and ED of Soul Eater down to those sizes, and not Adult Swim/Toonami itself. I guess I can't blame them now. The show itself is still good.

The Metal Gear Rising Revengeance commercial is on Toonami, just as God intended. I would have loved to see a review, but we got a sweet new promo instead.
