I swear to god if I didn't freaking NEED Marth + the exp to live through later stuff I'd skip this. BUT GUESS WHAT EVERY ENEMY IS STRONGER IN LUNATIC EVEN IN DLC. What was to be a simple grind became a test of pulling, pair-up swapping, and getting lucky on the village dropping a pure water. Chrom, Virion, and Cupcake (FeMU) all gained a level here, two in Cake's case. Could I have used more defense and speed? Yes. DID I GET IT?

Lissa can take hits better than Virion and even saved him from a Wyvern that's messed up.
I have technically not beaten it yet, but I am right now past all reinforcements, all healed up, and only have 4 wyverns left to lure/kill along with a myrm or two. I can not thank the RNG enough for not killing Fred in his heroic stand against 7 enemies at once.
Funny, you never use the Jeigan in lower difficulties, but then you actually start using them, and you realize, man, Great Knight is a terrible class compared to Paladin, stat wise.

I was trying to go for Chrom/Olivia but being the idiot that I am I thought, "Oh, Chrom will just auto-marry Olivia as a failsafe" and apparently I didn't use Olivia on Chrom at all and got no relationship points, and after I saved Chrom married some random NPC. So I just wasted this entire playthough since that was the only thing I was going for. I'm so sorry Lucina, you're going to suck now.

Guys, I can't beat Chapter 11.

I don't even care about the chests anymore I just want to murder Gangrel in his fucking face.

There's always reinforcements or some dirtbag wyvern rider or some gosh darned promoted unit that I have to murder because he'll totally wipe out someone weaker if I don't and it's just UUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGH.

get to the fortresses closest to the boss as quickly as you can. If you can, leave at least one troop behind to deal with the reinforcements from the northwest. I have Gaius supported with Panne so I actually had an easy time getting to the chests since they can dodge everything. Get someone with decent resistance (Sumia, etc) to take on the boss since Levin swords deal magic damage. If you can't handle it you can always grind Risen.

Are you playing on a higher difficulty? I can't speak for the harder modes, but on Normal the reinforcements that come from the top corner can be blocked off at the very beginning to save trouble. Send fliers/cavaliers that way.

Also, that mage corner is just that, mages only, so if you have high Res characters they can clear out that whole area. Miriel and Avatar tag teamed it hard for me. The fighter corner is harder, but none of them have ranged weapons, so archers or javelin throwers can help. Use Olivia to move your healers around.

If you're careful, Gangrel won't engage you until you've taken care of these two areas. He seems to run up to you if you are within one square outside his threatened area, so stay clear until you're ready. Lure him in so you can surround him and take him out in one turn. As Shoolis said, high Res characters can handle him better, and try to use supported characters for the extra attacks and blocks they may bring.

I assume for female avatars it's Chrom (I got S-rank with him without even trying), but what about male avatars?
