To start, I have a theory of Amon's true goals.

Amon can take away a person's bending, right? So where does all of that bending energy go? Maybe Amon is actually transferring people's bending to himself, to give him the powers of benders in order to make him a second avatar?

First five minutes of episode 01

There was a theory floating around that Amon might actually be Aang's son Bumi, since he was a non-bender and would have had a chance to learn energy/spirit bending from his father. It sounded interesting at the time, but it doesn't fit with Amon's whole story about the avatar ruining his family's livelihood.

Maybe Amon had a pet lion turtle, dohohoho.

Idk, I do not think the Western Cartoons & Comics thread is so overrun with Korra discussion that this really deserves its own thread. It hasn't even been posted in for two days.

It would be cool, yes.

You'd have to wonder how the equalists would react when they discovered his real motive, if they ever did. Would they actually accept him as a 'self-made' avatar because he's been their role model for so long?

You will never know because the creators are huge trolls, as evidenced by the very first Korra episode.

Actually, I think they published a side-story in comic form that detailed the gaang finding out about Ursa. I need to find it.

My theory is that Amon is a repressed Bender, he could bend, but hates the ability so much he doesn't. Maybe he blew up his own family and face like Explosive Boom Boom Guy did. I love the inclusion of Mako as a character. Not only is it a tribute to a great character, but now with liberal applications of brushstrokes all those terrible ZukoXKatara fanarts can be made valid for KorraXMako.

You know what I really want to see, in terms of relationships?

I want to see Korra and Mako get together for a while and 'date', then decide that they don't care to be any more than friends. You hardly ever see that in shows and it would be an interesting point of character development.

we need something to call the Korra group.

For Aang and co. we have the gaang, but what should we call Korra and co.?
