Hope this is a good enough subject for a separate thread >.>;;

Making public the software that they use to make some of the cinematics for their games is probably among one of Valve's best ideas. Ever since this video editing tool has been made public, I've seen some crazy awesome project and videos borne out of it. Like this:

Just a trailer, but ohhhhh, that animation...so smooth :mrgreen:

I've also seen fanimations as a result of this software being release, like ones of the Game Grumps by this guy

How about you guys? Any of you seen any beautiful works made by this? Anyone here use this or fiddle around with it?

i'd like to see more videos like that trailer. the only other popular SFM videos ive seen are the youtube poop vids that 12 year olds spam views with.

Yeah, I'd be lying if I said I didn't know how you feel. Even a lot of the good fanimation videos I see aren't very smooth in terms of the actual animation.

Best way to find the good ones is to look up the Saxxy awards. Bad Medicine and Lil Guardian Pyro come to mind for me.

And yeah, Practical Problems is awesome.

Oh yeah, I remember Guardian Pyro. That was pretty cute.
