So me and my homies have a regular movie night thing going every other thursday. I supply the moives, they supply the viewing space, we buy pizzas and sodas.
They told me to bring my best anime movies next week, so I'm taking the Trigun movie, the Cowboy Bebop movie, and they told me to bring Akira, but I don't think that's the best thing to watch with peeps.

Any good anime movies you guys like?

Spirited Away, except everyone's already seen that, so Howl's Moving Castle?

Every Miyazaki movie.
All of them.

Hmmmm you guys should totally watch Akira, what are you talking about? If its too weird for them... well, maybe you guys can work up to it. It'll be a fun experience for all.

We watched a series of anime movies in movie club, but the only title I can remember off the top of my head is Paprika.
It's basically Inception before Inception happened... and a bit more twisted. It's also where this gif is from.

They'd probably love that, and it'd give me an excuse to watch Nausicaa again, so Yeah! thanks.

Eh, i think it's too intense, I'll take it anyways and see if they're up for it.

Bullet To The Head was great. It was 100% what I expected and 100% worth the admission price.

I completely and utterly second this. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, from the same studio, is definitely a good watch as well.

And of course Redline, with it's insane and beautiful animation.

Saw Wreck-It Ralph (it only just recently came out here).

Pretty good all-round; I was expecting more game hopping than actually occurred though. Sometimes the film felt like it was more about sweets and sugar-pixes than computer games. Really well written though - emotional ups-and-downs were really well executed.

'Paper Man' was a nice little silent animated short too.
