I don't understand FMA: Brotherhood.

Is it like.. alternate history?

Granted, I've only watched the first twenty-ish episodes, and if there's a manga, I haven't read it, but still. I am confus.

Brotherhood follows the original manga. the first FMA series began by following the manga but when the manga went on hiatus--or something--the show decided to put its' own spin on things.

No, no, I think he's asking 'Is Ametris an alternate universe version of Earth/Is it Earth with an alternate timeline'. Well, it's a bit of both, with their world being an alternate version of ours in which alchemy is the highest form of science, and it is freely used.

Also,

The last couple episodes of Brotherhood are crazy.

I'm keeping up with the Japanese sub, and there are only 2 more left.

He Who Would Swallow God and Eye of Heaven, Gateway of Earth were EPIIIIIIC. A Fierce Counterattack was pretty good too, but it wasn't as crazy insane as the previous two.

So far on the FMA Brotherhood dub on Adult Swim: Lust has [spoiler]kicked the bucket[/spoiler] and Gene Havoc is [spoiler]permanently seated.[/spoiler] That has to suck. I wonder why he didn't [spoiler]spring for some automail.[/spoiler] I'm pretty sure at least someone could [spoiler]reconnect his nerves and give him some new legs.[/spoiler]

So the english dub is only about 18-or-so episodes in, it seems.
I think the sub is at 62.

I prefer downloading the fansubbed version by Eclipse, it's beautiful in 720p.

I'm boring, so I just watch the sub as it's released on the Funimation website. Every Thursday at 10 A.M.

Well, it's faster and it's well-subbed, it's just that I don't always have the time to watch it right away.

Yeah. The fact that it's released faster is one of the reasons I'm watching it over the dub. That, and the fact that Vic Migonogna makes Edward sound like a whiny teenager...which i guess he kind of is, but it still annoys the hell out of me.
