I'd say the first Tomb Raider (Maybe even both of them) did it right. Wreck-It-Ralph did it tons better though.

I liked Max Payne. It took liberties with the story (I was disappointed that Max didn't get to destroy a helicopter by toppling an antenna onto it), but it was a cool movie by its own merit.

Also, Prince of Persia was cool.

Les Miserables(the movie) is a pretty great movie. Russel Crowe is probably a weak link but the rest are excellent singers.

I agree. I think Prince of Persia already had a good amount of elements in it to make it into a cool adventure movie.

Wreck it Ralph isn't a video game movie, it's a movie that happens to be about video games. The plot and setting isn't lifted from any previously existing video game IP.

The eponymous game is at least partially derivative of Donkey Kong, isn't it?

Ralph was a monkey in at least one iteration of concept art. Also a caveman and a monster with morning stars for hands.
