Christ... I mean... I'm hoping you were just being wacky and posting something you don't actually like.

I mean... "I can be your buzz lightyear"? and that was after the guy screaming "SWAG! SWAG! SWAG! SWAG!"

It's pretty obvious by the infantile lyrics that this is pop music but then the hardcore metal back up singer starts up leaving me confused and in need of a drink.

This was a mess. A bloody mess and I do not endorse it.

Not only do I want my cheddar back, I want compensation for aural trauma.

(Also I really don't think Lifehouse - Sick Cycle Carousel is grunge)

Phew.
Okay, this is something fun. It's not great music, but hopefully it'll make you chuckle.

P.S: Mete, it's not metal so I already know you wont like it.

It was really repetitive, which is something that irritates me a lot in music. It wasn't bad though, and it did make me chuckle a bit. It was pretty catchy too and I'll probably end up humming it or something for the next few days. Singer's voice wasn't great (I like singer's to have a bit of gruff to their voice...just a preference. I don't like it when they sound like they're still prepubescent.), but it wasn't bad either. All in all, I'd give it a 7/10 counting the chuckle factor, and a 5/10 just counting the music.

Here's another one for chuckles, and it is metal.

The beginning reminded me of Digimon (later seasons that is)....but then it started to remind me of an Irish Jig, but a bit faster. Enjoyed the brass. I liked it. Seemed better than most of the stuff I hear on the radio at least. I give it 8 background conversations at the end of the song out of 10.

Now with lyrics!

Touhou music doesn't fail to impress. I have a love/hate relationship with female Japanese vocals but they really worked here. The song was energetic and heavy which is always a plus.

Never heard it before, but sounds familiar. Love the singer's voice.
Reminds me of an Australian R.E.M., very dreamy, lost myself in the instrumental towards the end.
Um where was I, oh yeah.
Great song, love the easy rhythm.
8 outta 10.

Eh, I dont know. I found the song pretty annoying to be honest, particularly the singer's voice. Not really my cup of tea.

I feel like reviving this thread (for however long that lasts).
Guitar seems to drown out the vocals in a few places, but the guitar sounds good so I can't complain that much. Not too overly metal; metal is really hit and miss with me. Vocals (when I heard them) and drums seem pretty solid.

I give it 8.5 dragon crowns out of 10.

More Touhou, but this time around with a male singer.

Spot the Engrish.

I need to figure out what this Touhou thing is if it has music this great. I don't like it as much as the last one, maybe it has to do with the male singer, or the dubsteppy intro, still great tho. The instrumental bits remind me a lot of F-zero, and while the dude singing is still good, i dunno, i kinda think it'd be better without him.
7/10
There's more and more Touhou in my playlists nowadays.

Bumping this because holy crap, it has been two months.

That was pretty pleasant instruments-wise but I wasn't that big of a fan of the singer's voice. It was somewhere between full-blown singing and regular talking and sounded a bit... nasally? Not really my kind of thing, 6/10

Hint: it's a video.

I really liked it at the start, the guitar chords sounded very powerful. I obviously didn't understand the vocals but I liked the sound of them, the chorus he repeated was kind of entrancing. As the song went on though it didn't bring anything else exciting to renew my interest and it got a little repetitive. The video seemed pretty generic to me, perhaps I missed the point? Overall a good track but not something I'd listen to often.

Probably not that unknown but I thought the videoclip was pretty great.

Ehhhhhhhh, I get that it's a cover, so this may have been what they were going for, but the style of lyrics did not go with the instrumental style at all. I'm not too wild on the roaring either, but not taking that individual preference into account, the vocals were fairly middle-of-the-road, I suppose. Basically, the whole thing just felt very tryhard. But again, that may have been what they were going for, they just didn't make it clear that it was on purpose. So 5/10. I won't flip my shit if someone plays it, but I sure as hell will never choose it.

EDIT: Whoops, I got ninja'd by Syobon or my computer just didn't pull the post up. This was meant for the post above.

Syobon:
Ahhhhhhh good ol' Twisted Sister. It's fun and loud and over-the-top in a good way. Not ERMAGHERD LIFE CHANGING, but definitely something most people would willingly listen to. 8.5/10

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING
COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

I'm usually not too big on love songs, but I like their harmonies.
