yes let us get back to the MLP argument

Spoony: Unlike webcomics, television-broadcast cartoons need cheddar to stay alive. If all cartoons were just made purely FOR ART, then there wouldn't be much funding for them, they would be dead after the first few episodes if they were purely creator driven unless they were funded by ultra rich people. Most tv shows need some form of revenue to keep going, and the best way to do that is to market it toward a specific audience. MLP just happens to have little girls as a target audience, but it appeals to much more people besides the target young elementary school girl demographic.

vealin: The original MLP made back in the 80's and early 90's were devoid of conflict, or plot. And you can't forget Care Bears, though I don't know if that was aimed specifically at girls.

yes I know about it and I didn't include Care bears because I wasn't really sure either.

If you don't want to argue about boners we could discuss Wakfu instead

shitsux etc. etc.

No really, I don't honestly care who made it or if it has decent plot or whatever.
It genuinely frightens me when grown men on /co/ are obsessing over My Little Pony

The only reason I was putting up a fuss was because it's apparently spreading to AZ too.

But it's cool if you guys like it or whatever. I just don't get it. At all.

well, I don't really need to re-post what I put in the avatars and signatures but yeah

I try not to dislike what I haven't seen, with a few exceptions of things that are terrible (like The Last Airbender), I usually just stay neutral on it and don't care either way. It always chafes me when people (not anyone specifically on this board) automatically complain about things they haven't seen. MLP is the same thing: I was rather cynical about it at first, especially when adults on /co/ all got boners over it and I never even liked My Little Pony in the first place, but then I saw it, and will you look at that, i liked it.

And Yes I like Wakfu too

It's no trouble sharing the joy

You better get a move on with those episodes; like I've been saying, season two isn't more than a week and a half away

...?

Uh, what?

Deal with what, exactly?

I didn't tell you not to watch it, or that you're a bad person or anything. It's great that you've found a show you enjoy. Grats bro. Best of luck. That doesn't change that I think it look really, really retarded.

Yyyyyep, going to have a hard time dealing with this one.
