Iz too stronk. Ash needs to lose the league after all.

He'll never win a second one :C

3 and half generations later still havent seen ash's dad outside the sidestory that followed Ricky, I'd actually start watching it again if we got to learn more about him.

Orange League doesn't count.

Also Ash's father has never appeared in the anime, and has only been mentioned once...in the second episode of the first season.

The whole thing just annoys me because

A) Ash: "I want to be the best Pokemon Trainer ever! Oh wait hang on I need to get rid of my best Pokemon and fill my team with things weak to Electric, Rock, and Ice-types."

B) They usually are only around for a short time(such as Butterfree and Goodra), so it feels like having that Pokemon at all was pointless.

If you're talking about that guy with the poliwrath, he was never referred to as Ash's dad. His name was Tad. I've had to correct my older brother multiple times on this.

My Orange League comment was referring to the "league" that he "won". It's not structured like a normal anime Region League and the Orange Islands aren't a region in the games, so him winning that doesn't count.

Not in the main anime no, but in Ricky's side story he met Silver

Silver from The Search for a Legend merely reacts to Ash's name, hardly conclusive proof that he is Ash's father. Admittedly has more ground than Giovanni or Professor Oak, but it's still not confirmed. Again, Ash's father hasn't been mentioned at all since the second episode and was never given any form of physical or personal description.

So I decided on a whim the other day to re-read Naruto....right from the very beginning, cover-to-cover.

I'm at chapter 245 now, right when the timeskip happens.

I never did finish it because I got bored with waiting for updates, and then my interest just kinda petered out. That was back in high school. But now that it's over I feel like I have a duty to see how it ends.

I think Naruto worth it IMO, its and extremely solid manga. Im not really a die hard fan of it, but I felt that it was enjoyable enough to say that it was time well spent.

Getting an anime watch going with some non-weeaboo friends.

Any solid recommendations involving horror?
I'm in support for Higurashi(abridged), Attack on Titan, and Berserk(the movies).

I also want to force other humans beings to watch Jojo and Gurren Lagann, so what do I know.

You apparently know what good taste is, and hopefully what "I can see your underwear" in sign language is if you watched enough JoJo.

As for Horror, didn't one of those Itoi mangas get an anime? If not, Boku no Pico will send a definite chill down their spines (or yours if they get into it). Also I think Ghost Slide was supposed to be horror, never watched it though so can't confirm.

Cradle of Monsters is good for shock value if you enjoy that, but seasoned horror fans might not find it too scary. It has several good plot twists along the way, but its pretty far in between that if you dont enjoy the horror along the way you might find it a bit of a let down.

Apocalypse no Toride is probably one of the best drawn horror Ive seen, it my opinion even better than berserk. Some of the images in there have haunted me for days after reading, an experience no other horror has ever done. The main cast has some plot armor thats a little immersion breaking on one or two occasions, though they arn't invulnerable. Until the last recommendation on my list it was for quite a while my favorite horror manga.

Ana Satsujin is my favorite horror manga ever. Its a Horror-Romance that has me totally captivated. I may just be a completely twisted person but the scene where the main character said that he'd rather die to the hands of his loved one and his death be a pop flyin' and love filled one than a slow painful march towards the inevitable was just amazing.

derp you want anime recommendations
Hellsing Ultimate, Akame Ga Kill, and Tokyo Ghoul are all good horror anime.
Deadman Wonderland is a horror anime, though the anime is only the first half of manga and is just not really good enough to recommend on that alone.
King of Thorns would be my reccomendation for a good horror anime movie .
