Escaflowne was one of my favorite anime series ever. Digimon was great too. I'm enjoying Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood right now. Clannad was insane (and awesome). Steamboy was great. I liked Howl's Moving Castle. Gravitation was funny. I need to watch Ergo Proxy, it looks beautiful. Gurren Lagann was epic beyond belief.

I've just started watching Saiyuki. It's pretty cool, especially the fact that the main characters are all men so there's no TITS TITS EVERYWHERE

Mazui subs are good.

honestly, cased closed is cool, but most of it is filler.

I don't think so. People read the manga/watch the anime so they can watch Shinichi solve mysteries, and well, that's what he does.

It's more accurate to say that the plot moves at a snail's pace, which is true.

Also Silver_Wolf thanks for reminding me that the entire Ouran HSHC DVD set is at Best Buy.

I had to buy both of the sets because my Best Buy is cheap and didn't have the full set. Grr. Makes me made. Oh well. I did see Elfen Lied once and I was tempted to buy it, but I was shopping with my mom and I don't think she would have let me get it. Even though I'm 18.... ):

Not exactly anime, but lately I've been spending rediculous amounts of cheddar on manga.

Not helped by the fact that Case Closed has thirty four volumes in english god what.

There's exactly twice that much in Japanese. It's pretty lengthy. :3c

I have every volume so far. :3c

I wonder how much cheddar total you've blown on manga...
I know for a fact my mom refuses to buy me manga because she says it'll last me less than an hour before I finish it. So I always have to spend my own cheddar on it.

I don't understand how the show can continue after that episode. I mean, what the fuck. That's the perfect ending.
And then the antagonist became a god by killing everyone on the planet. He lived happily ever after. The end.
Seriously, how do you continue the story and fight a guy like that? Srsly.

I just watched Wolf's Rain recently, it's now become a new favorite of mine.

But I will have to say that Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is my top favorite - the craziness, the dysfuntional cast, and dark humor just makes it for me. I've got all the manga volumes so far and am prepared to get any anime DVDs that may come to US in time.

And on the subject of films - besides Miyazaki movies which I enjoy very much - I also enjoyed The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and all of Satashi Kon's works (Paprika, Milleneum Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, and Perfect Blue - awesome stuff)

So my girl hasn't seen Clannad, so we started watching it today. Finished the first 'season' but man, Clannad makes me crazy emotional.

I cry at bizarre things.
