Is there a certain part if Jojo I should read first or just start from the beginning

Start at the start. Be prepared for sometimes humanly impossible poses at first.

Watch parts 1-3. Don't bother with reading the other parts.

Don't listen to that person being wrong and read it all if you like what you see. Part 4 is arguably the best and part 6 is my favourite.
And yeah, start with Part 1. If you'd rather watch it in animated form, you can watch the first two parts on Crunchyroll.

Seriously, Parts 4-6 just have a bunch of psychic bullshit where people who draw manga all day can kick the booty of your average Ripple user. Also, they don't use enough Vampires. This whole series was founded upon fighting vampires, and now it's about doing the most specific thing to screw over a person whose psyche manifests as some Super Sentai villain.

But the "psychic bullshit" is exactly what makes JoJo JoJo. While the Ripple stuff was good and all it doesn't hold a candle to some of the stuff that goes on with the stands. They give Araki a chance to use his creativity to it's fullest and make for interesting and complex battles and situations.

And have you read part 7? The main characters use what is essentially Ripple, only using stands to augment it

But ya see, the Ripple stuff, while fantastical, was grounded in reality somewhat, and had logic. These stands can do whatever random shit the guy thinks of when he's bored. Like, he looks at an electrical tower, and thinks, "Hey, that would make the perfect enemy for the next few weeks!" or looks at some Tessellations, and thinks, "Hey, I'm gonna have this as a filler villain for that other filler villain to help the main character kill, because he's a student who kills people with no repercussions."

The main characters also became a big bunch of dicks who have, "Hey, look what I can do with my ear!" and "I do sexy poses when I'm getting cavity searched!" as their most interesting traits.

Those stands ruined the whole Spin thing.

Dude, I get that you don't like it, but it's fun, well-made and popular. Araki's ideas being outlandish is nothing new, and I fail to see how "this guy can spit boiling blood from his tentacles-like veins" is any less silly than anything in later parts. Also Stands all follow certain rules too, yknow, just like the Ripple did.

The latest episode of Jojo went up and youtube reviewers and the like who haven't read the manga believe Dio has Teleportation powers.

I'm starting to think part 3 should be renamed Polnareff's Bizarre Adventure since over half of everything seems to happen to him.
Also I've only been reading the manga not anime, so what's this about teleporting?

The anime is at the chapters where Hol Horse returns to Dio, where you get a first glimpse of what his stand can do. People who don't know yet are speculating.

The whole OP is a huge spoiler for his powers already though, what with the cogs and the pendulum and everything. I guess it's not as obvious if you don't already know beforehand.

That is a 100% rational guess if they are brand new to the series. Although, I'm genuinely impressed that these reviewers managed to avoid the spoiler of what Dio's Stand does considering that he was a well-known meme all those years ago thanks to the WRYYYYYY flash animation.
