I just watched the new episode

Im actually crying a little as I type this

My only question is this: Where the fuck did that last weeping angel come from? Did they ever explain that?

The Statue of Liberty is a weeping angel. And anything that takes the image of an angel becomes an angel itself.

Exactly how many Photos/Keychains/Models of the Statue of Liberty are there?

If this doesn’t go anywhere I’m going to be incredibly disappointed in Moffat.

I thought the plot was that the Angels were using that building full of old people as a generator to give them power to turn the city's statues into Angels as well. The keep sending them back further into time to get more energy, then keep them in that building to feed off of them for the entire duration of their lives.

When Rory suicided, he caused a paradox. The Paradox killed the Angels and stopped their plan from ever even starting, therefore keeping the city's statues as statues.

Also the last Angel at the end was called "a straggler" or survivor or something like that.

I don't even watch this show, but it seems like every time I just manage to barely catch a random episode, it's about those fucking statues.

So I thought of a ton of plot holes/inconsistencies in the newest episode.

Okay, so the Doctor cant go back to NYC in 1938 or whatever, but cant he go there in 1939? Or cant he just take the TARDIS to New Jersey and hitch a ride into the city?

How is it possible for a paradox to have survivors? That makes absolutely no sense.

Seriously, how was nobody looking at the Statue of Liberty those times it moved?

Also, the thing Turbo mentioned about everything that has the image of an angel is itself an angel

Oh, and at the end, when the Doctor and River are in the TARDIS, River says something like "so I presume I should go to Amy to get this published?"..."I'll tell her to add an afterword for you." So does that mean that River can still go and visit Rory and Amy? Why would she be able to and not the Doctor?

There are only like four episodes that even have weeping angels.

Im actually quite disappointed that I didnt find myself frightened at all during this episode.

I havent seen Blink, so the only other weeping angel episodes Ive seen were Flesh and Stone/The Time of Angels.

In those episodes, the angels kill their victims.

But now they just send them back in time.

I know thats how the Angels normally do things, and the killing was considered unusual, but I didnt find myself scared in this episode.

I mean, we deal with time travel in every episode. Its nothing that normally would not be able to be easily resolved.

Without the whole temporal energy farm, it would just be someone gets sent back in time -> TARDIS back in time -> problem solved.

They sent their victims back in time in Blink. They escalated into killing because ????

Also I hate this episode. I can't explain it well myself, so instead read this and this.

You can't have something great like the Statue of Liberty being a weeping angel and then not do anything with it. It appeared twice in the episode but did nothing but stand there teeth bared and looking somewhat menacing. I wanted to have the statue going Godzilla on New York.

I wanted there to be real danger, in Blink the Doctor wasn't there to explain away everything and getting angry because he's the Doctor and he can fix all of this. The angels weren't in your face because if you looked at them then they can't do anything to you. They were hiding, and that's what made them more terrifying because if you can't look at them in the dark then they are free to move and send you back in time.

This whole episode I was just miffed at the plot, in the end it didn't matter what any of them did it was all peaches and cream by the credits. I strongly dislike Flesh and Stone and The Time of Angels because it was just so weak. If the image of an angel becomes an angel why aren't they a bigger problem? It can't just be the Statue of Liberty that was the only publicized angel, lots of people take pictures of statues in towns and cities. Oh, they got sucked into the crack in time so they've disappeared? Then why are they still around?

Really though if you dig even slightly into the subplot it just all falls apart.

it makes no sense for the statue of liberty to even be an angel

in Blink, the doctor explains the angels are their own species, and no one knows what they really look like, and the apperance of an angel statue is just some kind of disguise. theres an actual living organism under that disguise.

so it makes no sense for a massive HOLLOW statue that was made in france, and shipped over to america in pieces to be actually put together via rivets and and bolts, to be an actual organism. its just the writers pooping on the script and bypassing logic and calling it a plot.

I wonder if there will ever be any more on Harkness.

A question:
He is actually the Face of Bo, right?
