Not a huge fan of Pulp Fiction. I like Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill a whole lot more.

He's not the worst. At least he's enjoyable, over the top, action-packed. Decent plot and structure, clever parodies and refrences.

I didn't actually care for pulp fiction. I laughed when he left his gun on the counter and the hamburger and five dollar shake thing. Besides that I didn't like and got bored.

It's so weird. I liked the 1st half of Death Proof more than I liked Planet Terror, and yet Planet Terror beats the crap out of Death Proof's 2nd half.

Death Proofs first half was shit, they talked about nothing for like 40 minutes, then they die
everything in Planet Terror was awesome, from a guy going sick on some zombies with dual butterfly knives to a lapdancer grenade jumping from the machine gun she has instead of a leg

gore and action are essential devices in a good movie
thats why theyre awesome
if theyre in one place and talking without doing anything else, its not worth it

Oh my god you sound like those people from deviantart that claim to have mental disorders and proclaim Jason Vorhees is their lover.

Decent structure
As much as I agree that Tarantino is merely a good director and is crazily over hyped by dumb high school hipsters, one of his greatest skills is in structure. He can take a done to hell plot and one-dimensional characters and keep them interesting by way of unconventional structure. The structure in which the story is told is probably the most redeeming part of the otherwise super boring Pulp Fiction.

Agree 100%. Too much time spent on obscure references and trying to be self-aware to bolster his hip kid credibility, and not enough super stylized beautifully shot action (the other redeeming quality in most Tarantino films). This is why Kill Bill 1 is infinitely superior to Kill Bill 2.

Well ladida, I'm not a film critic or analist. I wouldn't know.

Don't have to be a critic to have an opinion on movies.

I'm just a nerd.
