Yeah, I kind of think that now that Kubo has officially declared this the last arc, it's going to stretch out as long as possible. All the deal with the Soul King probably won't show up until he has exhausted all other ideas. (or we've gone through a whole alphabet of Sternritter. Whichever comes last, I guess.)

And yeah, the lack of/inconsistent explanation of the Quincies kind of bothers me too. I mean, there is a certain extent to which you can say "They've been around for thousands of years. Some of their lore is bound to get jumbled so that modern generations are misinformed about x y and z" (hell, I use that for part of the lore in my story), but Kubo is not-quite-retconning things a bit too much for that to be the whole explanation. It's kind of like how back at the very beginning, Soul Society was explained by Rukia as basically being a lite edition of heaven where no one gets sick or hurt, and then WHOOPS NOPE IT'S BASICALLY JUST A MORE MAGICAL, MORE POVERTY STRICKEN VERSION OF THIS LIFE. MY BAD.

Just watched Hensemi. It was okay, some funny parts but they ended without resolving all the relationships.

Tomino's g-reco project turned out to be Gundam after all. Gundam: G no Reconguista will follow pilot trainee Beruri Zenamu, a member of the Capital Guard who protect a space elevator. It will take place in a calendar era after UC, called the "Reguild Century," and will air this fall.

Kill la Kill is almost over now, and I think TRIGGER did a really good job stretching that cheddar out. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the final fight scenes are animated black-and-white sketches.

What are you guys expecting in the finale?
