I think while it's a bit rushed and some of the finer details of trials are glossed over, the anime length is fine. I doubted when it was announced that they'd actually use any private interactions with Naegi, since they're not going for a perfect retelling. Also, having an episode dedicated to investigation would be annoyingly slow in my opinion. I kinda wish the characters said their names in the first episode though rather than the blurb.

Right now, I think they have a decent episodic pace, with a murder in one episode and a trial in the next.

i wonder if they'll do an OVA for IF or some other story.

Sandwich you spelled Nagisa wrong.

Anyway, episode four of Free! had one big swimming related thing that really annoyed me. The is NO WAY in hell the Rei would be able to swim Butterfly that well on his fucking first time trying it. I don't care how much he may have studies the technique; fly is the most complicated of the four strokes, and it takes most people who've never swam before around a full season to achieve as good a form as Rei's.

but I super relate to rei because I remember finding it the easiest.

also we didn't see his first time trying it

we saw him swimming, who knows how long he'd been there practising

Rewatching some Gen 2 AGE makes me feel real confident that MoE is actually a good idea

I cannot bring myself to watch the latter half of episode 20 of New Challenger tonight. Takamura vs Hawk is a fight that must be watched in one sitting. Doing it in multiple parts is just ludicrous.

I finished watching all of Digimon Adventure season one in its entirety. Around episode 42, I switched to the Japanese version to watch it on Netflix. Why did I never finish this when I was young? It's just one of those shows that still holds up well despite the 14 years it aged.

Now I'll move onto 02, which I more or less stuck with when I first saw it. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I like how they still mixed things up, and introduced new kids without completely discarding the old ones, given that it takes place in the same world.

I'd suggest watching it in Japanese because the music is all around pretty great, and Brave Heart has yet to get old for me.

The story just jumps left and right. Then there's sudden flashbacks that are not even marked as such, and tons of things are not explained just to show a sudden flashback 100 pages after the question comes up in the reader, then the setting jumps to a completely different place again and urgh.
This story telling is making my head hurt just trying to figure out where in the timeline of the story the chapter is taking place.

Getting around to watching episodes of the new JoJo anime. I've read the whole thing (except for part 8), but it's like I'm experiencing everything anew, it's really some good quality there.

The first intro always gives me goosebumbs, now that I can read in the subtitles what the song is about. Not like this is a new phenomena, but wow.

Great Handsome Oppressor wasn't lying when he said "the spirit of JoJo will overcome you" when I got the episodes, even though he was only joking. Real good quality there.

Speaking of Jojo I finally got back around to reading through part 6 (mainly because after a month and a half I finally have something to read it on), only up to the Dragon Dream fight. Pretty good, but I dunno I don't think anything's ever gonna top Part 4 for me.

It seriously took them 37 chapters to get the idea that maybe they should scout at night when the titans have lowered energy?
