hey, before Sloth and I put a whole lot of work into it, would anyone want to do an Avatar RP? It would take place right around the time that Yakone was taken out of the picture, and much of Republic City is still being built. No one would be a preexisting character.

The main problem would be participation
Rp's tend to die easily here

I wouldn't just because that period of Avatar history isn't particularly interesting for RP.

I'd join! I RP a lot in my spare time and I think it would be fun. I even already have a waterbending fan character although I might make someone new for it.

To be honest I've gotten so much practice since rejoining the forum I am already unfond of that image blugh.

Oh whoops, Well, two people isn't really enough to keep it going in case something comes up with one person, and if we are going to pull it off, Sloth and I would still need to come up with a sturdier outline.

Though I have no idea for a character. Do you guys have any sort of plot outline?

We're still straightening things out, so this is subject to change:
New technology is still emerging, and much of Republic City is still under construction to get it to the modern place we recognize in Korra's time. This is the start of the competing gangs, before it was cut to just the Triads. While the Red Monsoons were the most powerful gang, the upset from losing Yakone has caused something of a power vacuum in the underworld. Meanwhile, trade is flourishing and Pro Bending is just at its start. This world's industrial revolution is rolling as benders and non-benders work on ways to utilize each others abilities in order to provide new comforts and technologies.

You would basically pick whether you want to belong to a gang or be a fine upstanding citizen, what your day job is, and then we would all come to interact for some reason or another. Sloth and I are still trying to come up with a main goal for the story (been busy lately, so I haven't had much time), but he just went to bed. So if anyone has a suggestion, then feel free.
Although Madican mentioned that this is a boring point in the history, so I don't know. I was kind of deliberately looking for a point where it wasn't a massive world-ending turmoil, just local problems, but if you guys think that it would be too dull, then I suppose I can work something else out.

My bet's on Toph, because after tossing metal around for a few rounds and getting surprised by a flying opponent, she'd hit from below with nonmetallic earth. She's not just a metal bender. Also, Toph.

I think Magneto has that one simply because he's invisible to Toph.

However, she'd be able to see where he's pulling the metal from and either negate it, or be able to counter it. He'd have to pull metal from the sky to trick her.
