Realistic humor sucks

Started reading Fahrenheit 451

I like it a lot, but I think I'd like it more if Clarisse wasn't an epic level manic pixie dreamgirl

Be lucky you aren't reading a painted house.

That book stole the gatsby from me.

it would have been great.

Pay attention to everything yellow in the book.

Also realize not a single character is made to be actually likable except for maybe Owl Eyes and the mechanic, so keep that in your mind.

Anyone else ever hear of the Mistborn trilogy?
I read the first book, and it is nothing if not unique. Cool system of magic and a premise that the 'legendary hero who saves the world from evil' already happened a long time ago...and he failed.

I've been trying to get you people to read Sanderson's work in this thread for a long time. The first of the Mistborn trilogy was his second book overall and he's only gotten better. He's even begun what will become an epic fantasy like Wheel of Time called The Stormlight Archive. In each of his books he has a unique magic system and Stormlight reveals the fact that all of his books take place in the same multiverse.

I posted about reading them about 2 or 3 months ago. I really loved the books.

When you're done you need to read 'The Alloy of Law'. It's the same world and it is one of my favorite books.

I decided today to reread Harry Potter and I kind of forgot that this is a young adult series. It's well written, but it is kind of simplistic in a way.

I liked how it became more adult the further it went along. It only makes sense as you're (sort of) supposed to start reading them when you're 11 years old and then read another every year.

Then came the last one where Rowling just decided to kill almost everyone.

Rift is out. There goes a whole week or 2 of any decent sleep. Why must I like the Nightshade series so much?
