I've been watching Mawaru Penguindrum. So far it's really interesting, and totally broke my expectations from what I thought it was about beforehand. For some mysterious reason the ED song gives me such a huge wave of nostalgia and I don't even know why

Also there's something I've noticed. Do any women in Japan wear pants, or is this some kind of odd fanservice that sweeps the entire anime genre? From any modern series I've seen so far not one female character has worn pants on a regular basis (I believe).

Penguin Drum's EDs and Rock Over Japan are all covers of a band from the 80s called ARB

As for the nopan, in the current season the MC of Rinne no Lagrange is often wearing pants. link

and some others like in Inu x Boku where some of the girls wear pants because they are body guards.

I love that song, but the full version suffers pretty badly from the problem that a lot of full versions have, where it's just the same 1:30 played several times with more guitar solos.

Character Design: Takeshi Koike (Directed and did like fucking everything on Redline, key animation for the Trigun move, Texhnolyze)

Series Composition: Mari Okada (Wrote all of Ano Hana, series composition for Toradora, composition and screenplay for Aquarion Evol (Which is airing right now and is fucking stellar you should be watching it))

I'm almost halfway through Penguindrum now. Man this show is great.
