System Shock 2: A man is granted vast superhuman powers by the most astounding human creation in history, then uses those very powers to destroy the creation's own offspring, and eventually, the creation itself.

Freeman's Mind: A drug-addicted madman is intended to be killed in part of a government cover-up, but proves himself capable of not only fighting back, but wiping out squadron after squadron of soldiers. The military eventually gives on on trying to kill him and deems him unstoppable. All the while the lunatic mutters to himself about how the entire world will eventually bow to his greatness. it's hard to incriminate this character any farther than the narrative itself does D:
