Anybody watch Gotham?

I'm on episode #2, and it seems really good so far.

TV Land is banning reruns of The Dukes of Hazzard due to their iconic car brandishing the Confederate flag and the name of one of the most prominent Confederate generals.

Taking a flag down and banning sales of novelty items and apparel is one thing, but this is just a car in a TV show. As far as I know, they don't give it much attention in anything but camera shots from above. It doesn't seem right to forbid an iconic TV show from airing for something like this.

It's plain censorship. So much for "land of the free" I guess.

TV has been so stupid in these kinds of decisions.

They pull every show with Bill Cosby in it due to allegations of rape, but they give a convicted rapist an animated series. Yes, Mike Tyson, I don't care how sorry you are, you are still a convicted rapist. Although the show is pretty amusing.

I checked iTunes and the entire series is up there for now. Google Play only has seasons 3 through 7 for some reason.

The Duke Boys in the show are huge heroes. In the first season alone, they help a pregnant woman get to the hospital, stop the corrupt Sheriff from using slot machine gambling to take in cheddar and give it to an orphanage, and they also fire up their former-bootlegger uncle's old moonshine still... in an attempt to win a contest to find fossil fuel alternatives. That's some pretty upstanding stuff, right there. I think I may buy the first season just to have it.

Free speech only applies to GOVERMENT censorship, this is a private company making decisions based on PR.

A company self-censoring has the same effect.

they're not rerunning a show because it's got an icon which, especially at the moment, is highly volatile

bodaciously any company in the world would do the same thing if they have anyone intelligent making decisions

Not really, if the BBC had to pull every episode of Top Gear that offended someone the show wouldn't exist at all

I realise my point is a bit invalidated since it technically doesn't any more, but that won't stop them from airing re-runs. Point is that for a company the only thing that matters is whether any possible controversy will have a significant negative impact on business. If the public is offended by a background symbol in an old tv show (far as I know the flag is just there decoration and to show the redneck nature of the Dukes), they're a bunch of idiots. It'd be more understandable if the Dukes went around actively saying they wish the South won the war or that slavery is a-okay.

Constantine is Returning. Sort of. I'm hoping that with him being on Arrow, CW might pick up the show.

KAMEN RIDER

Angie broke me a while back and I started watching Kamen Rider. Starting with OOO

Oh my god it was so good I found myself on the edge wondering how it would end. When it finally did I only wanted more.

W is so good too, and Fourze is awesome as well.

I'm so hooked on Kamen Rider now I'm watching Wizard and it's not even good.

Hoooooooooooly shit the latest episode of Gotham. Only on episode 2 and it felt like a goddamn finale. I hope they can keep this momentum up for another 20 episodes!

So the stone is a doorway to another planet. Also I can't place the blue Inhuman killer guy.

Gotham: Jerome is DEFINITELY the Joker, right? I mean at this point it's almost so obvious that I'm expecting it to be subverted.

i was still stunned when he got knifed. But daisies, that setup! also his creepy fucking grin in death with the Joker "makeup" in the blood.

ten out of fucking ten. I am SO pop flyin' that TV shows are getting insane budgets!
