Books and shit

The sequel, Wise Man's Fear, is just as good. Too bad Patrick Rothfuss is one of those authors who takes a good few years to finish a book. It's worth the wait, but that doesn't make the longing any easier.

So I normally not don't read at all but I've been playing The Witcher 2 recently and thought I should check out the books. Has anyone read The Last Wish?

I was just reminded that I used to be really into the Artemis Fowl series. There's been a few new books released since I last read one, maybe I should check them out.

Balls. My local library (which is big if I may add) has some Witcher books like I expected, but only 1 of them is in English (not to mention there's only 1 copy of it) while 2 of them are in Finnish. I would've MUCH preferred to read all of them in English.

Oh man, Artemis Fowl. That was my favorite series for a while there after I finished the Harry Potter books.

Which one, fourth? Let's see, that'd be Eternity Code I think. That one wasn't bad. The ones afterward were though. A hippy demon and Artemis time traveling backwards to fight against his younger self.

The only thing I really remember about those books is that early on Holly was described as having darker skin but she's pretty white in the shots I saw of the graphic novel.

That was the third one. Opal Deception was the fourth. Certainly a low point, but not something that would cause me to swear off the series.

Ah, the ones after Opal then. That one was...okay. The ending seemed a whole lot like deus ex machina.

I think the last one I read had like this alternate dimension or something with a bunch of like demon people worshiping some old booty book.

It's been a while since I read it. Thought it was pretty good.
