Alright, my sister has dared me to write an article on heretics. Best topic I can think of is 'heretic danger level.' How insane certain levels are and stuff. Basic idea before being fluffed up:

Level 1: Casual - Just watches the show, tends to avoid higher levels.
Level 2: Closet heretic - While a fan, hides it from everyone around them. May refuse to be associated with heretic title.
Level 3: heretic - Fairly open about it, possibly to the point of near obsession. Likely owns a few pieces of merchandise.
Level 4: MetaBrony - The insanely obsessive. Stay away. May talk about having pony souls and whatnot.
Level 5: 4Chan heretic - (See pony thread generator below.)

That's the basic idea. Any input? Or better name for the levels? (Levels are flexible for different levels of interest and influence the show has on them, and not quite restricted to what I've mentioned here.) Or any incidents I could reference?

I was browsing /mlp/ a few days ago and found a thread talking about the different levels of pony fan. It was much more in-depth than your list, talking about fans who fapped to anthro/horse art and whatnot. It had labels for them and all that.
Not sure if I can find it again.

/mlp/ is probably a goldmine for article-writing, but you're going to need some serious goggles.

What kind of episodes do you think we'll see in Season 3? I would like to see an episode about Scootaloo learning how to fly.

I just hope they flesh out Applejack a bit more. She didn't seem to get much development in Season 2.

I can understand that discussing the fandom provides a good source of entertainment, but every other discussion in this thread has been "Man, heretics sure are weird!" It's getting kind of annoying, to be frank.



That'd be awesome. I would also like to see a flashback episode to the beginning, where Luna became Nightmare Moon. However, it's still a show for little girls, so I'm not getting my hopes up for anything such as that.

Oh boy, um, I think AJ could stand a little more spotlight. Pinkie Pie got her fair share this last season, not that I dislike her at all, it's just...give someone else a turn, yeah? Or Zecora, she's always good. Maybe we could get a bit of backstory for her!

Oh, and if the Nightmare is still hanging around, we can take care of that for the finale or something.
