I almost felt bad for Equius when Aradia flipped out though and she tore her heart out.

Well, it depends on what mood he's in at the time. he'll either get really depressed about it, or get so angry that he wants to duke it out with Equius, which would be a pretty bad idea.
Assuming that he even finds out.

Although him finding out would explain why he excludes himself from the others after they enter the veil.

More than likely yeah. Although I am sure we will get some sort of reaction from Sollux when he sees Aradia and Equius together.
And now with no updates for the next week, we are left only to speculate as to what will happen.
