I think I will, actually.

After seeing you post about it so many times, I actually decided to look up a few more reviews on the book, and it sounds rather interesting.

Although, I do have one question, because it is a graphic novel about coming to age...

Are they any like, sexy scenes? Call me immature, but I'm really not too fond of those. I mean, I'll still probably buy it, but I'd like some warning.

It's all work safe.

The last two weeks I read through this pile:
Ready Player One - Ernest Cline (I highly recommend this one if you are into gaming and have been so for a while. It draws heavily from popular culture in the eighties.)
The Left Hand of God - Paul Hoffman (Really good fantasy book set in medieval times in northern America. Touches on a few interesting subjects among those fanatical religion.)
Halo: Ghosts of Onyx - Eric Nylund (If you like Halo then this brings a lot more story to the table. Many of the philosophical questions around the Halo universe is also explored. A very good read.)
Halo: Glasslands - Karen Traviss (Sequel to Ghosts of Onyx. This one is even better than the first and explores a lot of new areas of the Halo universe like the Covenant society and the lives of ODSTs and Spartans. I can't wait for the next book in the series.)

In my reading pile right now:
The Last Four Things - Paul Hoffman (Sequel to The Left Hand of God. Based on the first one, a really good read.)
Orphanage - Robert Buettner (I read through a few pages of this in the store. It looks like a fantastic book.)
Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card (Same as above. It seems like a great book and I look forward to read it.)

So, I read "Spell for Chameleon" this week, and our school has these 'peer-review' things in the library. One of them rated it the lowest rating (1 out of 5), and in the reasons part: "I didn't like this book, it had too much reading in it." ???

read this book.

I don't care if you have children to feed, you need to stimulate your brain with feelings and such.

(It's called The Painted Man in england-land so yeah)

So, Lost at Sea was pretty darn good.

I have to agree with spam that it was pretty heavy with the teen angst, but I also really liked the ending.

Honestly, I've read a lot of "coming of age" stories, and this is the only one that's actually gotten to me so far.

Lost at Sea was pretty good. I like how it shows that Bryan Lee O'Malley can do a completely different, but also good, story besides Scott Pilgrim (which was also quite excellent).

Reading Brandon Sanderson's "Allow of Law." Shit's awesome. Cowboys with magic in a setting similar to early 1900's America. With more canals and nobility.

what does everybody think of Of Mice and Men? I think practically everybody has read it because it's compulsory in so many schools. I quite like it, and for some reason I find myself liking Curley's wife a lot.

I remember doing some pretty cool projects on Of Mice and Men. I also remember liking it, but I don't remember the actual story as much as I'd like to. :U

Just started reading Mockingjay. I know it's apparently pretty awful in comparison but y'know, wanna finish the series. After that Tuxedo Mask gave me a huge book that's apparently a quintet to read. It's one of the few series he really likes and he never reads anymore (i am gonna keep bulldogging him til i get him in a book that ISN'T a programming manual though,) and we have the same taste in tv/movies so i'm trusting his taste in books as well.

after that...i need to scrape up $155 for the harry potter series and i'll be set for a while i think

Yeah, Hunger Games series disappointed me. First one was great, second was meh, and third it was just "What the--where the hell are y--are you serious? Why?" kind of chaotic.

Anybody read any of the 'How to Train Your Dragon' books?

Would you recommend them to an older reader? I'm just thinking they might give me some ideas if I were to read a couple of them.

I've borrowed 'Ready Player One' from a friend and just started getting into it. This book is like one big orgasm of geeky humor and references while still having a really engaging plot. I think I might rush through this one whenever I have a day off.
