The road to recovery will be long and difficult to navigate. I hope that whoever takes the reins of CN has a good head on their shoulders and doesn't drive the network further into the ground.

Hopefully they get some new action cartoons on the network. I want to see some real good quality American action shows like Young Justice or Brave And The Bold again.

I doubt they will stop trying to make live action shows. Seriously, just no way. Disney made SO MUCH cheddar from theirs, it doesnt matter to CN that they will never get that kind of success, the temptation is just way too big.

Man, I wish there were a Kids Next Door reboot done right.

I mean, seriously.

That show was great.

I'd love to see Mr. Warburton make a brand new original show. KnD lasted for a really really long time and had a good run.

Issue 6 of the Samurai Jack ongoing from IDW has The Scotsman in it. I also strongly suggest reading the first five issues if you haven't already, as it's a pretty good story arc that fits in well with the series. I especially love that each issue starts off with "LONG AGO IN A DISTANT LAND" from the opening.

i think the last episode of Rick and Morty had the most fucked up death in Adult Swim history.
Yeah, same channel as Superjail and Metalocalypse, but i think being disemboweled by children takes the bloody cake.

I was watching that Cad Bane Show Starring Bounty Hunter Cad Bane show the other day, and there was this one episode with the Galactic Senate where the Trade Federation still has a representative in the Galactic Senate. I thought that their activities of blockading planets until they join the CIS and their leader openly declaring war on the Republic with his droid armies would bar them from representation, but it seems not.

Giancarlo Volpe made a post on his tumblr including a comic about how the the focus group testing for Green Lantern: The Animated Series, was frustrating and utter bullshit.

So Netflix has been planning to push forward with more original series alongside new seasons of their current line-up for a while now, and it's got me thinking again about how original animated series could work on services like it and how that would be beneficial.

For one thing, it wouldn't be bound to a TV network, so you could get away with a lot more, meaning you could actually make something for older demographics for real, rather than having to try and skirt things by the censors. Then there would be the fact that your cartoon would not necessarily be bound to toy or merchandise sales. As well, if it followed these other series in release format and the entire season was released all at once for people to watch at once, there would be no issues with executive-mandated hiatuses causing chunks of one season to be spanned out across a year.

What kind of cartoons would you like to see from online streaming services like Netflix, Hulu (They did have one cartoon called The Awesomes that was at the very least okay from what I saw), and Amazon (they are creating a bunch of kids programming, but I'm wondering if they'll try to do more with animation in the future..)?

One of the things I especially want is for an action cartoon to get funded and produced.
