Sounds like the kind of music to which I could kick someone's booty, but I don't speak Finnish and Google translate isn't much help so I have to go by pure merit of the music. Given how much I love Rammstein, it's not like a language barrier really means much in music anyway. I can't really peg down the specific genre. It's got elements of heavy, alternative or groove metal, and just the slightest metalcore. The mystery is enticing. It sounds optimistic at some points? Not sure. I give it 8 stars out of 11-and-half.

Usually I don't like songs like this, but the guitar did it for me. Don't care for the more scream-y parts, but they don't last long enough to get on my nerves too much. I'm so bad at understanding lyrics in these songs so I can't really judge that. Drums were good as well.
I give it 7.5 :shakefist: out of 10.

Here's the lyrics.

My only criteria for judging Japanese music is how well it'd work for the opening/ending of an anime.

This would work just fine I think. I liked the vocals, though found the synth noises a bit annoying when they drown out the voice. A lot of it feels more like noise than properly composed music. Tone those back a bit for balance and this would be pretty interesting.

I imagine most people don't listen to the lyrics properly when listening to this song, otherwise it probably wouldn't have been so big on commercial radio back in the day. Hilarious.

Here's a little Lucky Boys Confusion

Well the beginning was pretty mis-leading. I thought it was the kind of intro that you hear on todays rap songs so I was pretty bummed when i heard it. But the second i heard the guitar-riff I went from :colbert: to  so that lifted my spirits. All prefernces aside it seemed a bit like a song you could go on a road-trip listening to. 8 out of 10 mouse-clicks.

As much as I hate Three Days Grace and their typical fans, I really like this new song. The chord progression is more mature than some of their earlier radio hits, if that makes sense, and I enjoy the inclusion of some industrial sounds. The guitar solo unfortunately isn't worth anything other than leading up to the final chorus. Its short length keeps it from getting too repetitive, which is an issue I commonly have with Three Days Grace. The dude in the video looks kind of like Luke Perry. That made me chuckle.

Here's a song about pot (hint: it's not actually about pot).

It seems quiet, but that could just be because I've been listening to nothing but Hellyeah lately. Oh wait, never mind, nice surprise there about a minute in. I was about to say the repetitive drumming was getting boring as well, but never mind that AS WELL. The singer has a nice voice.

Good build up, good layering of instrumentals and backing vocals. Felt a built simple melody wise but not necessarily unappealing. Really liked the passionate vocals.
It's the kinda music that kinda needs to be listened to as an album to be really appreciated. Its artful, none of that top 40 playlist stuff.

I am still determined to post different stuff here each time. So here's an oldie by Crowded House.

Eh, too soft for me in all regards. Especially during the chorus when it started to sound like a one-man guitar ballad.

Now have something I first heard half an hour ago and instantly caught my attention.

Too long and generic really. Nothing stood out to me.
It was nice, but just so meh I don't know what to think of it.

5 choirs out of 10.

Meat Loaf - For Crying Out Loud

People probably know this song, but I don't care. I don't know anything that people wouldn't know.

I fucking love Meat loaf's lyrical composition.
He aims high when it comes to melodic complexity and hits the mark too.
Knows how to get the most out of his voice and instruments, he really puts everything to good use.
Wonderful.
10/10.

But, Mete... it IS a ballad.

Anyway, here's something a bit harder. Something fun from The Living End.

Well doubly so during the chorus.

As for this one, nah, not digging it. I'm not a big fan of rock music in general because it just sounds like metal lite (meaning it just doesn't deliver the same level of power) to me most of the time and this song reminded me of Green Day which is not a good thing.

You're gonna need good bass for this one.

It's not really something I would actively seek out to listen to. I'm not even sure what genre it is. It has a pretty good beat. The vocals kinda ruin it a bit in my opinion since they're so soft they often get overpowered by the synths.

And now for some Savatage.

I love Savatage, but this song is a poor example. The problem with posting music from concept albums is that sometimes the song doesn't stand well on its own. This is eight minutes of the same riffs and chord progressions over and over ad nauseum, which is fine if it serves as the leitmotif of the album as a whole, but is in this case just exhausting and pointless on its own. I'm not saying don't post anything from concept albums, but maybe next time make sure the song stands up on its own.

There's something about that kind of metal that you just can't hate. I watched the music video because the one you linked wasn't enabled for mobile and I digged it despite its overflowing cheesiness. I'm not sure if I'd be able to actively listen to these kind of bands though, they'd probably lose their charm fairly quickly. I'd spare them for special occasions.
