It's because the water in your area has been laced with LSD.

Sooo, what happened between the pilot and the actual show?

This is some heavily flanderized design.

Probably the fact that if all the episodes looked as good as the pilot they would go through a ton of cheddar really fast.

Got new comics today. Here's what's going on:
-Superior Spider-Man proved himself to be crazy as hell in the latest issue, the second one that also stars Miguel O'Hara, who is the Spider-Man of 2099.
-The final issue of Morbius the Living Vampire came out, and was quite the good ending. Shame it lasted only 9 issues; it was great.
-Superior Carnage is solid. Things are set up for a fight with Superior Spider-Man in the next issue.
-Thor: God of Thunder begins a new sure to be awesome five-parter with Thor battling evil dark elves.
-Venom continues along its final story arc (Thanks for that, Marvel) with some demonic stuff. Also everyone should go read the Circle of Four story arc. It's Venom, Red Hulk, a new Ghost Rider being trained by Johnny Blaze, and X-23 battle demons in Las Vegas.
-X-Men is continuing their Battle of the Atom story arc. I cannot stress how much I love the structure of the story. There's no tie-in bullshit at all; it just jumps from X-Men series to X-Men series, with a bright yellow color-coding on the cover clearly printed chapter numbers on each issue that's part of the story. It's such a simple structure and idea that I would like to see used in lieu of big dumb comic book events.
-The Ultimate Universe X-Men has all the mutants continue fighting each otherin a big-booty stupid war that's probably convincing all the normal humans that maybe letting them live this long was a huge mistake. But the Ultimate Universe is ending soon so I guess it wouldn't really matter in the long run.

Just got to the new episode of RWBY today. Normally I think I would have liked the falling-out to be a little lengthier, but in the context of a 4-7 minute weekly show, it's fine. I'm glad I don't have to hate Weiss now, at least. She was getting really close to awful character territory.

Yeah, that was a good episode. I still hope that Weiss will still trash-talk Ruby sometimes instead of them instantly becoming the greatest of friends; that'd be too boring, IMO.

I so prefer the Sonic Universe stories to the main comic - the current story 'Pirate Plunder Panic' focuses around Blaze the Cat and her quest for the Sol Emeralds. I regularly find myself eagerly anticipating the next installment - which isn't a feeling I've experienced since way back in the day when Fleetway produced the British 'Sonic the Hedgehog' comics.

There's just something so refreshing about reading well-written stories about second-fiddle characters. Anytime Sonic Universe focuses on Blaze the Cat, the Chaotix, the Babylon Rogues, Shadow the Hedgehog or Silver the Hedgehog - you can count me as entertained.

There's still some (blatant) remnants left over from the Mega Man crossover showing up too - Wily's and Eggman's 'Wily Egg' flying battle fortress from the crossover has somehow materialised in Blaze the Cat's world (Blaze is from a separate universe to Sonic) and has been repurposed by the current villain blighting Blaze's quest ('Captain Metal' - a reconstructed pirate-esque Metal Sonic).

It's an interestingly convoluted set of circumstances that I find myself thoroughly drawn into - just to find out what happens next.

It's a good feeling to be this drawn into a story and enjoy all the characters so much.

You just reminded me to check out when the World's Collide trade paperback comes out. It's all the way in November. Oh and the other volumes come out in February and May of next year. May as well track down all the issues at my local comic shop and save myself a bunch of time.

New episode of RWBY was interesting. It's nice to see an episode focused on another character other than the main four. And I really don't mind that this one was all set-up.

The only glaring flaw is that part during the beginning sparring match where Jaune drops his sword and then there's a jump cut to him falling down while holding his sword. Other than that, it was a decent ep.

Also, tournament has been confirmed. Should get some good fight scenes there.

Didn't get to see the new episode of RWBY until today.

I kind of saw Jaune sneaking into the academy coming, but part of me was still like "wat".

I liked it. More dialogue-based conflict is something that the story needed to get away from the high school hijinks. Stuff like what Weiss went through in that Badge and the Burden two-part thing; that's what I'd like to see more of. Hopefully with time we'll get more of that.

Well uh...

thats a

welp.

I would like to know how or where the people who greenlighted this show did their research. I also fail to see how there could be a significant market for a Sonic cartoon in this day and age. Although, there is that Pac-Man cartoon that's airing right now, so I could be wrong...
