Seems like they're trying to make up for that through differences in the characters' personalities, weapons, and fighting styles.

In other news, I've been reading Venom. The latest issue did not disappoint. I'm also liking Morbius: The Living Vampire. Morbius is fighting The Rose right now, who's armed with a less-powerful version of the Ultimate Nullifier.

New episode came out today.

Hey look, fights, is everyone pop flyin' now?

Yang Rage Mode was great, and Lin is pretty awesome too.

Also Aura. Which is whatever.

Looked like the stuff Yang used in her trailer.

As well, the fights were neat. Still wish they could get their hands on more sound effects than just the stock they have, though.

The latest episode of RWBY is out, and it delivered HARD on the fights everyone's been wanting.

That was a good episode. And hey, I think we're going get more story arcs now with the different teams, too.

Hopefully just Jaune's team. The other guys look pretty generic to me. I love Nora already; her warhammer/grenade launcher combo is great.

Man, Nora is great. I'm glad we finally got to see her do some fighting, and good fighting, too.

I also really like the blood effect they use in this show, replacing it with rose petals and all.

Done with that movie, now it's time to watch Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1. Only thing is after this I need to find a place to watch The Dark Knight Returns Part 2.

The Sonic/Mega Man crossover was okay, but now I'm more interested in seeing what's going to happen in the aftermath.

Basically Sonic wasn't able to restore his world properly and it's continuity has been kinda rocked sideways following the crossover event. Everything's kinda up in the air at the moment but Ian Flynn (the head writer) generally seems to have a handle on everything.

In reality there's been some legal complications over at Archie Comics in regard to one of the past writers (Ken Penders*) trying to lay claim to some of his 'original characters' - So Archie's current writers have had to 'reset' the Sonic universe to avoid using the characters this guy (Ken Penders) 'owns'.

Legality aside, I think it's making for an interesting turn of events and I'm interested to see how it plays out - I've not really ever been so engaged with a comic series when it's had to reset itself as thoroughly as this.

I like Ian Flynn as a writer and I feel I've learnt a lot from him by following his efforts in writing the Sonic material - so I'm interested to see where he takes this series after the aforementioned legal fallout and I'm interested to see how many of the non-Sega original Sonic characters make a return.

*It's actually kinda funny if you want to take the time to read into this guy's 'claims' - though it's a bit complicated/convoluted to go into if you're not a follower of the Archie Sonic comics.

New episode of RWBY today. This episode was pretty interesting, seeing how Ruby handles being a new leader. I'm also interested to see what happens as a result of Weiss not getting her way/the others not listening to her.

They could really use some more SFX. Some of them were so stock you could bodaciously hear how old they were.

Monty's trying to be funny, I get that this is supposed to be a kind of breather after the action-heavy previous episode but a lot of the jokes fell flat or weren't the kind of humor you'd expect in a show made to look like an anime, which just makes it feel weird. I'm pretty much expecting that monster in the cage to be another joke, some dude in a costume or something.

Digging into the comics books I bought yesterday:
-The current story arc in Deadpool is impressive.
-X-Men is having an ongoing story in "Battle of The Atom" that's pretty solid.
-Avengers A.I. is neat; basically Hank Pym acting as the leader of all of these cyborg and androidcharacters (including a DoomBot that acts all high and mighty but is rigged with a kill-switch in the form of a mini-black-hole bomb if he steps out of line) fighting against evil artificial intelligences and the like.
-The Flash is fantastic as always. It's one of the only reasons I still buy comics from the train wreck that is DC Comics.
-Superior Foes of Spider-Man is doing good in its third issue.

There's an upcoming issue of A+X, an ongoing team-up book, that puts The Superior Spider-Man and Magneto together. A former-supervillain duo like this is bound to have some interesting character interactions.

For all the ways Marvel is upstaging DC, they still find ways of pissing me off, such as with the cancellations of Venom and Scarlet Spider. Such good books that don't deserve to be ended so soon.
