Yeah, yeah, that's great and all, but the important thing is: DOES IT LIVE UP TO DISNEY'S OTHER ANIMATED STUFF?
YES, oh yes it does. The animation is just lovely - during one of the songs there's even a change of style that I found lovely. The soundtrack is great, although I'd like to see it again to get a better listen to the lyrics. Sometimes in Disney films I get a bit distracted by the various animal side-kicks, but the minor characters in this movie were fantastic. I thought the story was fun, the characters engaging, the environments beautiful, and I really enjoyed the change of setting compared to most of Disney's princess films.

Don't watch Employee of the month.
It makes you want to go to Sam's Club and burn it down.
I think that explains my jail ti- I mean absence.

I just saw The Princess and the Frog.

Facilier is both my favorite Disney villain and a man who will haunt my Nightmares for years to come.

I mean, just the way he takes a step (you know what I'm talking about, those who have seen it) is absolutely menacing.

I saw the new Astro Boy movie. I was surprisingly surprised by it. Seems like everyone was saying it was horrible, but I REALLY enjoyed it.

I might be a bit biased, as I've never actually read the manga or seen the anime, or really knew anything about Astro Boy other than "oh hey that thing over there exists," so I might not have noticed the things that other people hated.

But still...

As a stand alone movie, it was really good. The characters were well done, very believable. Astro himself really surprised me, because it was easy to forget he was a robot. I expected something a little more like, I dunno, Megaman. But Astro acted more like an 8 year old boy who discovered he had super powers, than a robot. He was so human, it was almost unnerving; I've never seen in any movie a robot portrayed so human.

Out of all the recent superhero movies that have been getting spewed out because of the success of Spiderman, I really felt like this was the most enjoyable one I saw.

I, too, just saw Princess and the Frog.

The "Friends on the Other Side" scene was amazing.

I won't. It's just one of the musical numbers.
