Except, you know, that isn't the joke in the linked comic (I assume we're talking about the turkey one since it's just the homepage that was linked). It's a joke about him thinking turkeys are too cute to eat. Nothing to do with him being fat, hating himself or anime.

That said, I only like my whomp in small doses, his style of humour does get kinda tiring.
