It happened 42 years ago, and apparently Tarlok is 37. Unless there was some Timebending going on, Tarlok was not involved.

So is Amon, Toph or Aang could of easily kicked his booty in no time, but he's got so much plot armor not to mention bending isn't like it use to be, it's not as intense due to not using it for war.

Yeah, Amon is plot armor as shit. I think that the metalbenders could have found their underground hideouts just by walking barefoot around town.

Isn't that something only Toph and her daughter know how to do?

I think that it's a prerequisite for metalbending. But I might be wrong

I think it is, because you need to be able to sense what's around you and not just see it. This is why they show the shot of Toph/Lin/Aang sensing the shockwaves made by them slamming their foot into the Earth.

My theory is that Amon is the squeaky council assistant guy.

He saw Tarrlok kidnap Korra, so he could have followed them, and that is how Amon knew where to find them at?

Also, with his position he would know everything going on in the government of the city.

Amon's a new character.

It's just like the whole Lord English speculation stuff, honestly.

Wait so whose body will he burst out of?

I'm hoping that the reason Yakone can bloodbend at any time other than the full moon is due to some spirit world mumbo-jumbo. I kind of had the thought that if there was another spirit giving him the ability, maybe Yue's presence is only strong enough to counteract the effects during the full moon. It would kind of make sense for Korra not to notice that side of things yet because she's spiritually blind still, but maybe once she's finished her airbending training, she'll get some kind of hint as to what's going on.

Yakone's father didn't bend while the moon was full so he couldn't be accused of bloodbending, not because he couldn't bloodbend while there was a fool munn.

Just because he didn't do it during the full moon doesn't mean it was a choice. Unless there was a part of the dialogue I missed, I was definitely under the impression that the only thing we know so far is that he never used it at that time.

That fact was brought up in the courthouse, by Yakone's attorney. As an alibi. Yakone even said that Aang had no evidence to prove Yakone was guilty and that every charge against him was thrown out. Why? Because "bloodbending when it's not a full moon is impossible."

Yakone was crafty, he made sure that he only attacked victims when he logically shouldn't be able to, because then no one could touch him in court. It's like a Phoenix Wright case.
