I finally checked out that Zen Pencils webcomic, and holy shit, this has to be the most pandering piece of shit I've ever seen. The art is fine, but its just so... good lord, its just awful. Just self serving, smug art wank.

Yeah, I like Miyazaki too, but the guy did him a disservice putting him in his delusional art fantasy. Its like a mix of Scott McCloud and every art, music or drama teacher in a movie ever, just artist wannabees sucking their own dicks for being so free spirited and open minded and not having real jobs. I think thats what rustled me off the most, the way the guy looks down at regular work. I dont do well at it either, but thats because I have disabilties that prevents me from doing it, not because I think Im too good for an honest days work. My parents worked themselves half to death most of their lives to provide for me and my brother, and to see some pissant look down on their efforts like this makes me furious.

Oh yeah, I was rustled when I saw the zen pencils guy using Miyazaki as his mouthpiece. But like I said, the comic was so masturbatory--it was basically zen pencil's way of trying to stick it to all the 'trolls' on the internet that have been criticizing him.
