Waterbenders could, presumably, be able to bend anything even slightly damp. So I could bend clouds and fog and the soda aisle at walmart and and and THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS.

Also there is the healing and the bloodbending and plantbending to consider.

forget slightly damp. A humid day would be a godsend for water benders, seeing what Hama did.

Also, the ground gets damp if you dig down, so you could just pull water from the dirt around you.

Waterbending 1
Atheists 0

or however that meme goes

You say that like it would actually matter in a timeframe shorter than several centuries.

Also, Earthbenders are bestbenders.

In normal conditions, yes.

In conditions where the air can be made to move fast enough to throw people into the sky, and where this is normality, no.

I'd want to be a waterbender.

Despite the limitation of needing a body of water, they're the most versatile

I finally got around to watching the new episode and wow. I can't believe I was actually rooting for Amon near the end.

Can't really skilled waterbenders pull water from the moisture in the air?

But yeah I'd like to be a waterbender myself. Can do a lot more with water than with the other elements and plus being able to use it to heal wounds is p. great

VENDING MACHINES. All the change you could save..... :pseudo:

Also, I'd rather be an airbender. Free, non-invasive, private trasportation across any kind of terrain. My life would be wholely different.

I was rooting for Amon until he sent his goons after Korra.

Why would he take her away right when Tarlok would get caught with her in that hiding house of his? Amon didn't take Korra in Episode 4, so what changed now?

Because Amon is smart. Before, he knew that Korra proved a very large threat without bending (as a martyr), so he didn't fight her and only instilled fear. Now, she's vulnerable, she's already missing, and they know Tarlock took her. They can say he ran off with her, she's gone and out of the way, and nobody knows it was the Equalists.

Except Amon is still trying to play politics. Wouldn't he stand to gain more by leaving Korra there, for Tenzin and the others to find and reveal to the city that Tarlok was a snake, especially when Amon and the equalists were still being blamed for Korra's disappearance on the news?

After all, it'd be pretty devastating to find out that one of the city council members was a bloodbender, the son of a notorious mobster, and able to defeat and kidnap the most powerful bender in the world, and be an important PR blow to be able to say you defeated a monster like Tarlok.

It just seems like the only reason Amon would have to take Korra would be to finish her off, but she's still not a threat and she's still not in a position to NOT be a martyr for the benders. About the only thing she has going for her is the fact that she's been a minor thorn in the equalists' side and she saved those non-benders.
