Oh hey there's a thread for this.

So, I just finished watching season 1 (new series, of course. I've tried watching the earlier ones. I just couldn't) and holy hell why haven't I done this sooner.

I also mentioned that I was watching it to my dad yesterday. He told me how he used to watch it when he was a kid. It's like, time and stuff.

EDIT: Okay, it has a spin-off. Torchwood. Should I watch it. Yes or no.

The Sarah Jane Adventures are better.

Children of Earth was pretty good, but I haven't seen much of the rest of Torchwood. I've seen a few episodes of Sarah Jane and it was pretty good. I have trouble with the low-budget enemies, though, I snicker every time I see a Slitheen or those vulture things.

Also, CN do you know of a website that has the older Dr. Who episodes on it? I want to watch those ones.

YES.
Go to here:
http://www.dailymotion.com/
Search for "tardismedia invasion of time".
Invasion of Time is just my example, but any serial name will work so long as it follows "tardismedia". That is the best channel on the site.

ALSO
The first seven episodes (and the first half of Series 6, airing in spring for 7 weeks) are called:
The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon
By Steven Moffat
The Curse of the Black Spot
By Steve Thompson
The Doctor's Wife
By Neil Gaiman
The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People
By Matthew Graham
A Good Man goes to War
By Steven Moffat

Synopses for the two-parter series opener:
The Impossible Astronaut wrote:
Four envelopes, numbered 2, 3 and 4, each containing a date, time and map reference, unsigned, but TARDIS blue. Who sent them? And who received the missing number one? This strange summons reunites the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River Song in the middle of the Utah desert and unveils a terrible secret the Doctor's friends must never reveal to him.

Placing his life entirely in their hands, the Doctor agrees to search for the recipient of the fourth envelope - just who is Canton Everett Delaware the Third? And what is the relevance of their only other clue: 'Space 1969'? Their quest lands them - quite bodaciously - in the Oval Office, where they are enlisted by President Nixon himself to assist enigmatic former-FBI agent Canton, in saving a terrified little girl from a mysterious spaceman.

Day of the Moon wrote:
The Doctor is locked in the perfect prison. Amy, Rory and River Song are being hunted down across America by the FBI. With the help of new friend and FBI-insider, Canton Everett Delaware the Third, our heroes are reunited to share their discoveries, if not their memories. For the world is occupied by an alien force who control humanity through post-hypnotic suggestion and no one can be trusted. Aided by President Nixon and Neil Armstrong's foot, the Doctor must mount a revolution to drive out the enemy and rescue the missing little girl. No-one knows why they took her. Or why they have kidnapped Amy Pond...

The italicized part is me showing confusion.

Thank you CN

THE DOCTOR'S WIFE

I AM SO EXCITE
I WANT IT NOW

Unless they are going to do some BS like they did in the Doctor's Daughter where it is technically his wife, but not really.

The official BBC site has revealed the Cybermen are to return in the new series, which has been confirmed in the new Radio Times as the mid-series finale A Good Man Goes To War.

Not sure if anyone else has posted this but Korea has banned all TV shows and movies that are about time travel.

I don't think Doctor Who even aired in Korea in the first place but still....

I thought that was China?

Funny, though, because when I watch DW online it tends to be on Tudou with Chinese subtitles.
