I had both forgotten who Kore was and that the goblins ever fought him. Also even if they all fight him together they should be well and properly fucked. Wasn't he lvl 20 or something?

The racist axe that gives +7 against any enemy of the same race. As in Forgath vs Kore.

In DnD, most items move incrementally up a scale. Even at Level 7 in my game I'm only using a +2 weapon and that's the norm. +5 is the highest possible before epic tier, Level 20, which means +7 is practically guaranteed to punch through Kore's defenses if Forgath uses it considering his own level bonuses.

Considering no one has landed a hit on Kore before, even with a +7 it's unlikely it'll hit more than half of the time, while no one has proper defences against the crossbows (except taco maybe sorta). On top of that his (or her???) hit points will be pretty obscene.

I think somebody is going to die, the rest is going to escape into the dungeon and then in a year irl Kore will die in the dungeon through obtuse means.

It's not that no one has been able to get a hit on Kore, it's that the goblins don't have the levels or equipment to penetrate his Armor Class score. It has been overcome though, early on when he first showed up and got one crossbow bolt through his shoulder. The only weapon the GAP has close to that is the Axe of Prissan, which will not harm Kore.

Forgath on the other hand has a few magic items from the maze, like the rings and mace. The mace especially he can probably equip the fist on him then wield the axe for more power. Again though, +7 is insane for their level and would overcome Kore's AC relatively easily. The trick is actually beating him, since 3.5 Paladins are kind of insane in their combat ability.

Do we know what the other magic items do precisely though?

And AC only affects landing hits in 3.5 as far as I know, it's d20+Base attack bonus + Strength modifier + size modifier VS AC =(10 + armor bonus + shield bonus + Dexterity modifier + size modifier) to land an attack (circumstantial modifiers like magic not withstanding). For the axe to give Forgath a 50% or better chance to hit he would have to be able to hit on a 17 or better without it. I guess that's possible since there a lot of unknown factors here (Forgath's capabilities vs the goblins, low number of data points to estimate AC of Kore) and holy shit I'm putting way too much thought into this.

He's been updating every five days. Judging from the date on his last rant post, he's a day late, and still apparently won't update until tomorrow.

We've come to expect no more from him, though.
