Not explicit or anything, but there are a lot of references to non-heterosex among the characters. And smushy-facing. Lots of smushy-facing.

What is it about British quiz/panel shows that makes them that much better than shows from other countries? I don't even get half the humor because it's all British inside jokes made by British celebrities who you'll probably never have heard of unless you watch these shows.

I cant decide wether I like the Big Bang Theory or if I hate it. On one hand, the characters are actually interesting, they get the majority of the references right, which is insanely rare for a network show, and I enjoy the science, comic aand game jokes they do end up using. On the other hand, I despise the idea that "geeky" interests are just time killers until someone of the opposite sex lowers their standards enough to have sex with you unless youre completely asexual, like having a sex drive means genuine interest in anything other than sex is silly.

I also hate that a failed actress working a menial job and obsesses over shoes is seen as a better person than well paid scientists and researchers because she happens to be pretty. Im not SURPRISED, but seriously, fuck you Television.

How is Penny seen as a "better" person? She's more socially sensible than the nerds, of course, but there's plenty of digs aimed at her, for example the failed actress situation you mentioned.

Yeah, but there's this general feel that she is more of a winner because shes more socially apt. Even witH all her flaws, it seems like she gets more "approval" than the male cast. Hell, even the other female characters get overshadowed by her. I dunno, maybe Im reading too much into it, my major gripe is with the whole "Sex is EVERYTHING" message
