Goblins isn't with Blind Ferret anymore. Sohmer pitched a hissy-fit that Thunt was working on the card-game over the comic and claimed breach of contract before shutting off their servers immediately.

I should get both sides, but I dont like Sohmer, so Im going to take the Goblins guy side.

I don't want to be the boss, it looks like the job sucks.

Also apparently the poll last week of what comic voters want to see more of had the result of Katie had 40% of the vote, 24% for Abby, 11% for Maki, ...and 25% for Monica who was eliminated a long time ago.

True, but theres a difference between the boss thats tough but fair, and the boss thats a whiny, self indulging dipshit who blatantly plays favorites with his employees.

Thunt's a shitty "employee" anyway. They're both awful.

It's been two and a half years since we've even seen the eponymous central cast. A week has passed since the last update, which unfortunately is regular these days. Thunt just does not give a fuck about this comic.

None of us has seen the contract, or the financial ramifications. There's usually compromises and shortcomings on both sides.

I find it hilarious that Gabe and Tycho can do three comics a week, and like a dozen side projects no problem, while some other big time webcomic guys have trouble hitting a page a week, sometimes with MONTHS between updates. I dont know how they live or anything, but when your main employment is through your comic... you know, its your job. Do your job.

Which is a sore spot of Sohmer's. He brags about his update schedule and harshly criticizes anyone who misses theirs. I don't know why he recruited Goblin's guy if his update schedule was erratic.

Pfft, Sohmers a WRITER. While coming up with ideas is difficult, the really labour intensive part is the art, as someone who does both can testify to. Sohmer has the easier side of the job.

I'd almost agree, if writing was all he did. But he balances all that with Blind Ferret, cons, ads, merch and being a dad. Also, be careful which particular form of art you decide to denigrate. You might anger somebody. Like Hemingway's ghost.
