House of Leaves is a wonderful book. I bought the full-color (Or whatever you call the version with absolutely everything in it) on a whim, and I've read it multiple times.

In other news, reading Sphere by Micheal Chritchon (or however you spell that) again. One of my all-time favorites.

It's Crichton, and have you read any of his other books? Next is definitely a great book.

I've read both Jurassic Parks, Andromeda Strain, and Prey, which is another one of my personal favorites.
Kind of started Timeline and The Congo, but I couldn't really get into either of them.
Haven't tried reading Next. I have heard good things though.

It focuses on genetics and the ethics of genetic re-sequencing and patenting and blah blah I actually wasn't impressed by the soapbox messages toward the end but it's still a hell of a book.

At least, I think I'm thinking of the same book as you. With the hyper-chimp or whatever who they end up trying to pass off as human or something of the sort?

That's Next. Just finished it a lil' while ago too. I shouldn't have laughed so hard when Gerard sang Man With The Hex But daisies, completely outta left field that bit.

It's funny to read two books and then have the first one referenced in the second

So yeah Cat's Cradle is fantastic and because I read it pretty blindly Looking For Alaska isn't going remotely where I thought it would

Oh man I read that book in the 7th grade, because it was always there in the library and nobody ever touched it, so I decided to try it.

Pretty good book. Nobody knows what it is ever though so feel good in the fact that you're one of the three people who have even heard of it.

I'm trying to read the Kalevala, but the preface goes on forever. I hope it's worth it.
