This thread was originally created to ridicule Chris-chan's work though, which is more acceptable, although still kind of mean. It's the same thing as what we're doing in the dA thread half of the time really.

Also, Chris-chan has an entire wiki dedicated to ridiculing him, so I doubt our little thread will affect him in any way.

I'm not a huge fan of the dA thread either.

Both threads exude the pungent odour of people making themselves feel better through the ridicule of others and their abilities (or lack thereof).

That kind of argument sounds like: "It's okay to throw stones at someone if everyone else is doing it."

Well yeah, I'm having a hard time coming up with solid arguments since you're mostly right. But this thread was amusing and I'd like to see it continued. I don't have that much of a problem with ridiculing other people or their work if they aren't affected by it, and especially if they're so deserving of it like in this case.

That's actually a common argument. However, I have to disagree just because of how much of Chris's problems are his own fault. Chris's life was ruined long before the internet found him, and next to nothing has changed between now and then. The only difference is that Chris is slightly more cautious when it comes to dating online, which is actually something he should have been the whole time.

I'm not saying it's right to make fun of him, but...well, let's use your analogy. Imagine if someone went against the crowd and risked everything to help the person being stoned. Now imagine if the person being stoned refused the help because it wasn't what he wanted to hear. Then the stoning victim starts complaining about how nobody helps him. Then he bashes himself in the face with a brick. It ends up with the person who tried to help either walking away from the whole affair in disgust or joining the crowd, both of which are perfectly understandable decisions.

Yeah, I personally wouldn't go out of my way to defend Chris in that he might mistake me for being a friend - and I really don't need that.

I just don't like seeing crowds of people get together to bully individuals who are incapable of defending themselves - it's one of the uglier qualities exhibited by human beings.

Wait wait, you're disgusted by the thread mocking him, but you hate the idea of being mistaken for being his friend so you're not going to help? I don't exactly think you can judge the people of this thread by an "ugly quality" they have when you seem to be exhibiting the idea that being falsely associated with Chris would damage your ego.

Is it wrong to watch old movies and take pleasure out of how corny they are and how unemotional the actors are when they speak since people worked hard on the movies and it's mocking their hard work/creative vision/directing skills? If something like this can't be joked about because it's a real issue, then can we really laugh at other real issues, like slavery, starvation, war, or anything else that is serious?

Everyone has bad qualities, but should that mean we should all be barred from doing things just because we're not perfect/we don't strive for perfection? This thread is primarily for "enjoying" the horrible antics of Chris' creations which overlaps with his real life on multiple occasions, making it hard to understand what the hell is going on without background info. While I'm more horrified than amused by his IRL antics, I don't have qualms with them having fun doing this, especially when none of it is with malicious intent, and no one is interacting directly with Chris while doing it. You might as well be trying to stop gossip, gossip that Chris is probably never going to find or isn't going to care enough about to read.

So don't try to paint yourself as being better than the others in this thread, we all have ugly sides, and no one is "more ugly" than the others.

HE STILL REMAINS UNCONVINCED.

Honestly I've love for him to come back, I've been bothering him about it for a while now, but for some reason the few people that have voiced there dislike of him seem to keep him from coming back.

Hes also being a bit of a bum and thinking only you guys that read this thread dont really care about him and just want updates.

Well Willow, ask the same question in unimportant topics or something then, where everyone will read it.

Tell him we said that his art was really improving; we remember him for more than just this thread.
