God, that episode made me so sad! I watched it with my little brother and all he was concerned with was the scary zombie-ish candy/human things and how Marcelene was eating chicken soup, and not something red.

Also, Vealin, it's the theme song from Cheers. I had it stuck in my head all day today. Btw, after seeing it again with Noff, I realized that they totally ate that deer ;-;

I didn't realize this till I read this article, but maybe it's right. "Simon discovers the chicken soup he's been desperate to find the under-the-weather Marcy and happily feeds it to her. The whole episode he's been worried that she has come down with a fever, but is it possible that he's getting colder?"

I actually got to see the new episode, definitely my new favorite one.

My personal theory is that Marcy was getting colder (i.e. more corpselike) and the chicken soup bit was a show for her benefit. Im sure after what he had already been through seeing someone like her get COLDER would freak Simon the fuck out.

Ok, I haven't seen most of season 5, just the first few episodes and now Simon & Marcy.
So many things to think about with that episode.
Where they heck is everybody? There is every sign of rioting with random junk everywhere. I know that's kind of a thing with AT that sticks even up to Finn & Jake's time. But Marcy was surprised by even finding the deer.
My guess: The Lich succeeded with a minor varient on the "Kill everything" spell.

With thebubblegum everywhere though. Anyone else reminded of fungus from the Super Mario Bros movie?
