I think it's more of a time limit than anything else. Like, "Alright, you're 25 years old, plus or minus a few, time for your Khert-sponsored heart attack." He's only got a few years, but he doesn't look older than any human his age. I don't think he's going to rapidly get wrinkled skin and a bad back.

Of course, I haven't seen any "old" Plats, so I could be very mistaken.

It's said that Plats have very frail constitutions. They could probably look rather healthy and then die a few days after their 30th birthday due to some opportunistic infection.

So, Stockyard's goons have absolutely no luck with wrights and all attempts to deal with them end in a mess. I hope they at least have a decent dental plan.

So apparently Cresce has people dressing up in "paleface" for certain characters in their plays, like one about Quigley. That's an interesting tidbit.

I find that I have a rapidly growing interest in wanting to see that become an actual play.
