Heh, yeah, makes you wonder why the church even allows her to work still. She's given hilariously poor advice over the years, and his insistence that Rocky is as qualified as a fully certified doctor or psychiatrist is preventing him from seeing professional help.

If you ask me, she strikes me as being weak. She says it's okay for couple to have sex before marriage when the Bible of all things says sex should be kept inside of holy matrimony. So far she's trying the "gentle approach" to advice without realizing that sometimes even Jesus "Turn the Other Cheek" Christ had to dole out some booty-whupping when people didn't listen (e.g. the incident with the priests at the temple). And it doesn't help that Chris seems to be cherry-picking which advice he likes and which pieces he feels doesn't apply to him - further complicated that she doesn't seem to be giving him any advice he deems objectionable (i.e. anything we consider realistic).

"With friends like these" indeed...

P.S. As you may have noticed, I'm not a Christian, but I have been introduced to elements of Christianity from various sources (including, yes, the internet). If I got anything wrong, forgive my ignorance and feel free to correct me.

Most Christians tend not to take everything in the Bible as true any more, and are a lot more loose about these rules. Also advicing Chris to hand out some booty whooping is the dumbest thing I've read all day, unless you meant that as "it would be hilarious".

I wouldn't necessarily call Jesus' actions in the Temple and booty-whooping, moreso than laying down the law. If read through, you'll notice that while he did drive them out, he did not physically strike anyone.

I think it's less of a fault with Rocky and more of a fault with Chris's church as a whole.

They're a "progressive" church, which apparently means every sermon is about how God doesn't mind if you commit certain sins that just so happen to be socially acceptable, which is total bull because if God didn't mind then he would have said so. I honestly suspect that a good portion of the congregation is a bunch of smug douchebags who only go to the church so they can brag about how "progressive" they are to both actual and crazy Christians(which are of course the same thing in their eyes).

Rocky is just your ordinary old lady who just doesn't get this newfangled internet thing all the young people are talking about with their Face Books and stuff. Not to mention all she knows about internet trolls came out of Chris's mouth, and as I've said before Chris doesn't understand the internet very well.

Before you ask, no he did not meet a real girl IRL this is a troll.

"I misinterpreted it" Chris is way different from "I'm doing this to get laid" Chris. For example, "IMI" Chris would not unintentionally dress in drag. He would, however, do it if he thought he could get laid for doing it. And only a troll would want Chris to do crazy shit in order to get laid, because a normal girl would ask him to do sane things like getting a job and showering regularly and that's on the list of things he won't do to get laid.
