Thats just weird shadows on the eyes. The same people show up again with normal eyes in the second to last panel.

I'm always worried I'm going to miss some subtle reference in art. I've become over reactive.

What if she came into being at the same time as humans. She only exists as long as we do. So she's younger because humans are still growing, and she'll get older as we die out.

Word on the wire is that Andrew Dobson aka Tom Preston is finally quitting.

That's actually really sad. All along people only wanted him to get better at his work, and now he just up and quits? I mean sure, there was an assload of haters and generally mean people, but he just caves into criticism like this without even trying to understand what was wrong?

I guess he never learned.
