Castlemania is a good album by Thee Oh Sees

The vinyl of it is rare and out of print and I could've sworn I saw it at my local record store so I better check that shit out

I've never actually used a vinyl player. My mom had a half functioning one I think? Regardless, those USB ones are expensive.

I'd like to start using OGG instead of mp3 but it's rare to find albums that are encoded in OGG so I'd have to acquire FLACs which are slightly more common and convert from those. Then again I usually just put FLACs on my phone too because I can't be assed to keep different bitrate copies of the same songs around.

I haven't really been listening to enough electronic stuff lately (read: the past year) and I should really look for new stuff. When I originally broadened my tastes a few years back, I went with a number of British electronic bands and that's all that Last.fm has in its recommended tab. I'm looking for something different but I'm not really sure what. I already have a bunch of psy/goa but I'm sure I could find plenty of entirely new stuff if I knew what to search for.

I'm mainly looking for two different styles of electronic music:

1) energetic (psy already occasionally fills this category but you can only listen to so many songs about mushrooms)
2) dark/twisted/fucked up (the kind of electronic music an electronic metal band might make, but without the metal)

Five Finger Death Punch recorded a song with Rob Halford of Judas Priest.

I wet myself.

Im having a love affair with David bowie, None of you are invited.

Seriosuy though. His entire discography has made its way on to. My phone and I cant stop listening, Even Daft punk has taken a backseat to Bowie right now.

So I might go to this. I'm not familiar with all the names though, so I wanted to ask if any one recognised any of the lesser known ones that I should try to watch when I'm there?
